I'm Alex and photography is the thing I do so I have a reason to leave the house.

I shot a lot when I was younger, then stopped for the better part of a decade — not for any good reason, just the usual slow attrition of adulthood. I'm back at it now, which either means I've rediscovered a passion or I'm having a quiet midlife crisis with better lighting. Haven't ruled either out.

I don't shoot one genre, because committing to things has never really been my strong suit. A landscape, a stranger on the street, a mushroom that looked more interesting than my actual plans for the day — if it holds still long enough, I'll point a camera at it. No concept, no theme, just whatever the world puts in front of me before it inevitably moves on.
